Xbox 360 vs PS3

There are many people who own just an Xbox 360 and are avid fans who are strictly against Sony. On the flipside, there are those who are devout Sony fans who refuse to go Microsoft. So the question is which is better? Well in my oppinion, neither. Both systems have great features that make them both great systems. For example, the PS3 sports a built in Blu-Ray DvD player. With the increasnig popularity of high definition, this is definitely a strong point of the PS3. The PS3 also has free multi-player, something Xbox live subscribers have been pushing for. Howver, even though the multiplayer is free on the PS3, i d have to say that the Xbox 360 definately has a stronger multiplayer experience. I ownboth and can tell you from experience that you definately get a more organized and reliable online experience with the Xbox 360. The Xbox also has a larger game library, which means there are more games to choose from. Both systems are great systems, that really just depend on personal preferance.

Holiday Season 2010

It might be that I'm in college right now but I have not heard alot about games that will be coming out for the 2010 holiday season. Sure I've heard the big names like Epic Micky, and of course the big one.... World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.... which I predict will probably on the top of the sales charts this holiday season. Last holiday season all of the hype was centered around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. However, this season I havent heard of anything that anybody is to crazy excited over. Even though I havent heard much heres a list of games I think will be worht looking into putting onto your wishlists.
1) Shift 2 Unleashed.

2) Fallout: New Vegas

3) Fable III

4) World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

5) Halo: Reach

6) Epic Mickey

7) Madden NFL 11

These are just a few of the games that I though looked interesting, there are probably alot more that are good. There are also alot of games coming out in early 2011 that are worth looking at.

Fable III = Awesomeness

Ok so i completed Fable III and let me say the developers created a fairly genious and innovative way to keep playing even after you have completed the main objective. I will not spoil the ending for anyone but let me say that it doesnt not dissapoint. Even if you decide to start over you will have a unique and exciting experience every time. If you decide to keep playing the character you completed it with, the game provides many objectives and one big one that is sure to make your gameplay new and exciting even after your done. Fable III is great.

Fallout New Vegas

Ok so i do'nt own nor have i played Fallout New Vegas yet, so i cant be too critical. But today i was watching a friend of mine play and it seemed to have some serious drawbacks. One of the biggest things i noticed was that the loading screens took at least five minutes to load. Every time he would walk into a store or building it would literally take 5-6 minutes to load. Maybe i'm exaggerating a little but that's certainly what it felt like. Another draw back are the graphics, i know that that's how fallout is supposed to look and that the world of Fallout: New Vegas is supposed to be huge but in making that huge world they had to do some serious cut backs on the aesthetics of the game to make room for that giant world. Ive also read a few reviews and most say that the game isnt without its bugs either. I cant say much about the gameplay but these are just a few of the drawbacks i saw.

Dragon Age II

So today i just learned that a Dragon Age II is in the works. Personally i dont know how i feel about this. I thought Dragon Age: Origins was... alright. It had a cool adventure but all the dungeons seemed to get redundant and annoying after awhile. I know with all of my characters i put the mage tower off till the very end, I hated it. Also Origins was not very good as far as customization. Sure there were different sets of armor you could put onto your character but as far as weapons go they all looked the same to me. Hopefully Dragon Age II will fix most of these problems and make a more fun and interesting game. Not to say Origins was bad, but i definitely left some room for improvement. Hopefully the developers will make improvements and make Dragon Age II as cool as it looks.

Fable III is Good

Ok so I picked up Fable III on its release date (October 26) and let me say that it is really good. They made many improvements to make Fable III a much smoother and more enjoyable experience than its predecessor, Fable II. Fable III offers new systems that make managing the clothing you aquire through out the game, the weapons and other items more managable. No longer do you have to pause and go through the many options in order to change your outfit or weapon. Ill let you see the new system for yourself but its pretty interesting, fun, and keeps things moving along. Your character in Fable III also has more depth to him, YES! He actually talks and you get the feeling that you better understand him and his motives and gives more personality to the game. This is a great improvement to Fable II. The world (Albion) has also been re-amped and looks pretty good. The artwork matches Fable and it looks pretty darn good. All in all Fable III is a very good game (so farm still havent complteted it fully yet.) It definitely has my recomendation.

Blehh

So part of my blogging assignment is to not only keep up a blog of our own, but for every post on our blog, we have to leave a comment on someone elses blog. While looking for other video game blogs to post on i came upon, http://www.thatvideogameblog.com/2010/10/22/capcom-planned-dmc-design-controversy/#comment-223878.

Where if found out that Capcom was cutting out one of gaming's greatest badasses... I speak of none other than the sword wielding, gun twirling, red trenchcoat wearing hero who has been demon slaying for close to a decade now. After doing some more research I found that this is in fact true, and we can expect to see this "new Dante" is the next Devil May Cry game. I for one, am very dissapointed. Call me a fan boy but Dante was cool and has become an icon for one of Capcom's biggest franchises. Certainly a sad day for video games. In other news Fallout: New Vegas was released, I've heard some mixed reviews. Some says the world i giant and beautiful but i have also heard that it is riddled with bugs, glitches, and other technical bugs. Leave a comment if you have played and let me know how you think it is.

A picture of the new Dante, he doesnt even have white hair damn it.

An article about the change as well as a video can be sson at http://www.rundlc.com/news/new-dante-is-much-cooler-than-old-dante/. Based on comments i have seen most people are very unhappy with the change.  While watching the video, it seems like the are using an art style that is similar to something like Borderlands, leaving me with one question.... WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING TO THIS GREAT FRANCHISE!!!!!
